Robert Barnes

Secretary & Volunteer Lead

Robert is born and bred in Watford, married to Melanie, and has two daughters Charlotte and Heather who went to the Girls Grammar school.  He has now retired from a career in enterprise software product management. He has been a member of the FoCP committee since 2021.

Along with being a keen walker and litter picker in the park, Robert is a big proponent of supporting the local community and working with nature.  For example, he helped found SweetTree Farming For All, a not-for-profit organisation that uses farm and outdoor experiences to help support individuals with mental health, social care, or disability challenges.  As a director for that organization, he brings experience in company management, marketing, project definition and messaging, and funding applications.
